mooon, (2015)

Here again viewers encounter letter-carpets and a yellow y that I identify with. As in my other multi-lingual works, I use words from different languages intentionally without translation.
mooon is based on live video footage shot on a Samsung S4 during travels in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Lithuania and Germany in 2014. The video may be seen as a research for documenting water on the mooon(!).

Like in natyr (2011), the video begins with a strong sound that creates a period of silence in the beginning of the work. Other references to some earlier works of mine can also be found: The ‘eau-poem’ in the first part is closely related to svevedikt (2006) and my first video LYMS (2009). The work invites viewers for an individual experience of the video and visual poetry that is based upon the viewer’s language background.
